Their latest re-launch and foodie addition to the ever-so popular Ferdinand Restaurant which opened earlier this year – is the completely new look to the main in-house restaurant, renamed PURO – which under their motto “More beautiful than ever, and as good as it always was” it is set to climb the delicious ladder of Gault-Milllau (already a respectable 14 points).
The look reflects the foodie concept of casual fine dining – a fresh Alpine inspired interior (suitably decked with customary Antlers) and awash in snowy whites, soft meadow greens, natural woods and woven fabrics, with designer Gras lights adding an air of the continental.
Tempting but unpretentious cuisines hit the tables, with a tasty line-up of local Alpine and classical dishes – all sourced and in keeping with the casual dinning concept.
We love the likes of 72H pork belly poached on cider jus, potato buttermilk purée, or the Char sautéed with olive oil, sage gnocchi in tomato broth – and original favourites like the Gourmet Angus Burger with baby spinach, spring onion, BBQ aioli sauce served with CERVO Fries (truffle oil & parmesan). Yum, yes Yum.
This new gastro number is set to be the social magnet and will certainly hit the taste spot – a firm favourite with the ski fraternity, foodies and those who just want great food in relaxed chilled surrounds.
The CERVO ZERMATT does it again in our books – design, edge, buzz & style and views to the Matterhorn all with foodie fave restaurant PURO.
Why not wander the Alps, stopping off over at the boutique Hotel de Londres in Brig before hitting the slopes, then passing on through Zurich for a spot of luxury, culture & shopping at the Widder Hotel on the Rennweg?
