Code 2: Copenhagen’s Biggest International Art Fair

Ah, did we say Copenhagen? Sorry, we actually meant Scandinavia; you see, Code Art Fair is the biggest international art fair in all of Scandinavia, held in forward-thinking, cool-as-ice, art-addicted Copenhagen.

New and ambitious, Code Art Fair is a must-see for all art lovers and style fanatics, bringing together established and emerging galleries from all over Europe and the Americas.

A year after the huge success of Code Art Fair the first, Denmark rings for round two, and Code 2 emerges. As well as progressive exhibits there are also thought-provoking talks and discussions on the cultural, intellectual, economic and political forces that govern the contemporary art scene, the market, and wider society as a whole.

The bulk of the art will be held at the architecturally breath-taking Bella Center, Scandinavia’s biggest exhibition centre and a soaring structure of glass and steel suffused with the gentle, dancing tones of Denmark’s revered summer light – without a doubt the perfect backdrop for this international stage.

But Code 2 doesn’t stop there, oh no. Specific sites throughout the beautiful canvas of Copenhagen will also be hosting films, performances and site-specific works, making the most of Denmark’s gorgeous capital.

Held this year on the balmy Scandinavian days of August 31st – September 2nd, we can’t help but keep thinking forward to a flight to Copenhagen, enjoying an upcoming and illustrious international art fair, feeling the warmth of the mystic Scandinavian sun and enjoying an ice-cold beer by Nyhavn’s waters.
